So yeah, I am proud to say i killed my first lion fish today. I did it with a home made Hawaiian sling(i believe this is what it is called). I will upload the video of the killing and a detailed "how to" on how I made the sling. I am uploading the "how to" because I search for two days for well informed detailed instruction and was unable to find any.

Good for you. I use a commercial product, but it seems it would be an extremely simple thing to make. All you'd need, in the most basic form, is a stick, a bunji cord, a dril, and way to sharpen the stick. Could easily get complicated though, if you decided to use a trident tip or some other method of preventing over-penetration.
