Andy - If you'd gone to my preppy, preppy high school, you might have been the only one who liked my tons of black eyeliner and army surplus clothes...:blinking:

The attitude is still there - I just hide it better! :D

I have not read thru this whole thread... but wanted to post that I can't stand it when I see children in make-up.

When my daughter was 4 and 5, she had to wear make-up (heavily!) for her dance recitals. If the girls didn't wear heavy make-up, then the stage lights washed out all the color in their faces (VERY big auditorium in a big high school). I felt like such a bad mom "painting" such a little innocent face! Thankfully, she doesn't take dance anymore, so we don't have to worry about that. She's a gymnast now.

Occasionally, she likes to wear lip gloss... but it's just plain and shiny with no real color, so I don't mind. It helps to keep her lips from chapping, so it works for me AND her.

Me too.

Although, rather than army surplus, for me it was mini skirts and lace up boots- trying to do my best to look like Siouxsie ya' know .

Girls who don't enunciate?

:rofl3:

here are the lyrics.... not that ... ah ... they help or anything:

Riding on any wave
There is the luck you crave
They don't believe it now,
They just think it's stupid

So got anything ?
Anyone could have done
Who would've cared at all, not you
Another heart has made the trade

Forget it, forget it, forget it
I don't understand how a heart is a spade
But somehow the vital connection is made

Riding on anything
Anything's good enough
Who would've thought it of someone like you
Just as they brought me round

Now that they brought you down
Roundabout and roundabout
Who wants a life anyone ?
Another heart has made the grade

Forget it, forget it, forget it
I don't understand how the last card is played
But somehow the vital connection is made
