We saw the boat overturned.
It happened in front of the area between tikila and Sunsets. There was a lot of boat traffic in both directions a lot of wake and moderate winds.
I think the boat was waked by another going full throttle. Probably tossed the passengers to one side making it roll.
There were a few other boats in the area and the coast guard had their boat out also.
The captain was able to get it upright by lifting on the bimini until it was out of the water and then the hull popped upright like a cork.
He bailed for a while and got a tow back.

These are the tenders for the sub.
Considerate captains stay on the far side.
Many others speed through the area between the boats and the boys.
This area has many snorkelers and swimmers.
The boats that pass through here rarely slow down.
Their wake sucks.
This is where the boat overturned.
I blame it on a speeding dive boat passing too close too fast.

Where is that?
Sunsets is just south of the coast guard station and just north of Palmar condos.
About a few minute walk south from blue Angel or Villa Blanca

How long before sunset did you have to get there to get that table?
Never had a wait for a table. They have lots of tables at street level and the bar to sit at. They have even more tables below at beach level.
They also rent tanks for 100 pesos and weights for 20. Great dive in a roped off area between tikila and Sunsets.
It gets a little busy around 5 when the band starts playing.
Lately it's been Diego playing with the Pineapple juice band. He knows almost every classic rock song you can think of. He said he learned them from his Dad.

Sunset is hands down one of the best deals for food and drinks on the waterfront. Good access to check out dives and snorkelling too.
