Hi all. First post. :)

I'm fascinated by the physiology and physics of diving and was looking for a a "beginners" book on diving medicine. Any books you can reccommend? Thanks.

The encyclopedia of rec diving has some good stuff to start with.

Diving Medicine Notes, a collection of articles by Dr. David Sawatzky from Diver Magazine (Canada) at http://www.uhms-glc.ca/glcnews.htm#saw - scroll down to "Other News"
You can also read several of his articles here: http://divermag.com/archive.html

Diving Physiology in Plain English by Dr. Jolie Bookspan.

And any of several books in DAN’s catalog (around page 12 and beyond).

Thanks! Diving Physiology in Plain English by Dr. Jolie Bookspan. is pretty much what I was looking for.

Heh. Thanks. I just got bit by the diving bug, but I got bit hard. :D

I think the bitten hard is standard.

Been there, done that. Do you dream about it too?
