I have never tried a rag on my head, though I am about to buy a hooded vest because of the temps.

I don't care WHAT kind of bouyancy control you have, it has more to do with what kind of bouyancy control OTHERS have. I swear, that at times the water at Alexander can be as clear as air, but just a few of the aforementioned muck rakers can cut the vis all the way down to what, 50' or so?

No matter what, Alexander will always be special to me, as it is the place I spent many a happy hour freediving & dreaming of the day that I could stay down there longer.
 
Thank you all for the responses. Got some really great ideas and have decided to go to Kings Spring 1st followed by The Blue Grotto and then Devils Den.

Will post after each trip. Hopefully my dive buddy will have his camera back and I can post some pics!!
