Looking for new dive partner in KEY WEST

hello! I'm new to diving (hence my presence in this forum...) and am wondering where the best place to locate a dive partner would be. I live in key west and none of my friends seem interested at all. should i just sign up for a class and hope I'll meet someone there?

Whats up? If only you lived in the tampa area. I dive, but my wife just tryed it and will not do it. my son loves it but he is 16 and all he cares about is girls.(There is nothing wrong with that) All my friends will not do it. I take my boat down to key largo all the time. if you are up in this area let me know I would love to take you diveing.It is not as good as down there but it is getting better. I will be down there in june, if you are done with your classes by then let me know, I will take you to some great stops down there. seeeeeee ya

A buddy and myself are heading downn to the Keys 13-16th to do some diving. I am pretty new to diving but we are up for almost anything and have a spearfishing dive lined up, and some reef dives as well.
If you want to head out with us let me know.

If you're in Key West, talk to Jan at Subtropic, she runs an OW course for locals a couple times a month. You might be able to hook up with some other local divers that way, or just post back when you're done and see what anyone's up for!
