The story is this... My wife and I were conducting a Dive Master class for two of our SFDI club friends (Melissa and Ginny) while diving off our boat which was tied to one of the Barracuda Reef balls. While we were conducting the "DM lead programs" part of the class, Melissa was escorting the "certified divers" and playing dive master when she spotted the ring in a small crevasse on the reef. When we got back to the boat we were impressed with the condition of the ring and figured someone lost it recently. Melissa searched Scuba Board and found the lost ring thread and the rest is history. A happy ending...
