I was deciding between those two a while back and went with the SP MK25/S600. Absolutley love it!

I like the Abyss a lot. It breathes very easy. It is also good in cold water, since is made of metal parts.

I love my Abyss. I've only had it down to 120, but it was easy to breath all the way down.
IMO, go with an APEKS atx-200 or ds4 with a 50 2nd stg.

Mares regs drive me nuts... Poor HP seats, Poor 2nd stg LP seats, high cost for repair parts, only two yr. warranty.
Apeks gives you alot more for the money...
