Martz sink steps were built in an era when the Bruic's owned the park, and has always been depended on as an entrance location, especially to reduce swim distances,or avoid crowds. Due to the age of the steps and recent storm damage, this access site has been closed until steps can be rebuilt. The state's budget doesn't include this project,so to keep this access point off the endangered list we are going to need help. It is not a simple repair, but a compete removal, and then... rebuilding them to meet some standards. The NFSA board last Saturday voted to take on this project, but we need help to defray the cost of such a challenging endeavor. Please visit www.northfloridaspringsalliance.org web site, and you will see a Martz sink donate button. All proceeds will go to all expenses related to rebuilding these steps, and keeping this site open. Thank you!

Thanks Kelly.

For all cave divers who use Martz Sink as an entry point to Madison, please help us re-open the site. As Kelly alluded, we have to rebuild the steps according to state standards. As a result, the cost of materials alone is close to $6,000. But the finished product will be sturdier and safer than what is there. Fortunately, the labor will be donated by a group of cave divers. You can help us fund this project by making a donation to the NFSA. Remember that the NFSA is a non-profit 501 3c, and your contributions are tax deductible. In advance, thank you for your consideration.

Not an NFSA member? You can join for as little as $15 a year. Go to www.northfloridaspringsalliance.org to join via papal. If you would like a copy of the last three newsletters, email me at sandynfsa@gmail.com
