    3000psi valve in a 3442 tank?

    3000psi valve in a 3442 tank?

I just bought 2 new xs x7-100 steel tanks rated for 3442psi. The convertible din/yoke vavle says 3000psi on it. Is this the proper valve to get a full fill of 3442? I just had them filled today by a different dive shop then I got them from and they told me they were the wrong valves?!!?

The above is from the XS Scuba forum. What a non-answer.

I wonder what would happen if we all called Mark and asked about this problem. I bet Mark would appreciate it.

Did you call them? Mark is the person who answered you here... he was probably expecting your call.

By DOT standards if the yoke plug is in fill pressure is 3000/3300 with the yoke plug out it can be filled to 3442
