Hi All,

The gist of this question is I have my PADI Advanced Open Water and I want to get my Nitrox Cert. The resort I am looking at is a SSI place and they do the Nitrox course.

If I do this Nitrox course.. well will they let me being PADI certified and will I be able to get Nitrox refills from then on anywhere?

Thanks in advance from any help.

I am SSI OW, NAUI Nitrox and soon to be SDI Altitude cert'd and then NAUI AOW cert'd in a few months. So, this shouldn't be a problem for you. Remember, they want your cash so denying you the cert and thereby denying you the Nitrox fills hurts their bottom line. Plus, if they do that to you, how many other people are you going tell about your experience and then they won't even consider going to that resort?

just remember that if you have plans to go for padi master diver, they will not recognize the ssi specialty. thats the only small possible draw back. other than that.....no worries
