I saw this fish in Sharm el Sheik in the Red Sea. I was in about 30 feet of water. The fish is about ten inches long. It was just sort of perched on a piece of coral.
Thanks for any help you all can provide.

I think it's a hawkfish of some sort.

They sell them on several aquarium sites including this one under the name "freckled hawkfish"

It would appear to have several synonyms, including "blackside hawkfish"

The scientific name given on the aquarium site is Paracirrhites forsteri but that also has a number of synonyms, namely:

- Grammistes forsteri
- Paracirrhites forsteri
and - Paracirrhites typee

I had searched and searched for the name of that fish. Then ten minutes after I posted it here, I saw a picture on a website that was a match, but it too listed several names.
Thanks for your help.
