Can anyone tell me about the shells on the morgan?

I recently cleaned up a brass ring that I found on the wreck and it revealed this inscription:
--LOT 73 - 23188 - 43 - 1942 - DR - 37 mm - M54

I know the ring has something to do with the shells/projectiles but I'm not really sure what.

Thanks Rad, I emailed him but haven't heard back yet. Here's what Bob G. said, "the markings on the ring are as fallows: Lot #
Batch number, year made, Manufacturer, size of shell, and type of gun (anti
aircraft) with proximity fuse (set to go at a fixed altitude to go off by
the gunners, as they need)"
