I understand the mask has sentimental value to him but the value is lost if if it is replaced by a duplicate. He is a new diver, if it is the only mask he has ever used he may not be aware of the benefits of newer designs. If I am diving at vintage diving event I will wear one of several vintage masks I own, otherwise I dive with a modern low volume mask with my double hose regulator.

This mask is almost a direct knock-off of an Aqualung (formerly US Divers) Pacifica mask. Except the Pacifica has a purge valve. A very similar design is the Aqualung Atlantis mask. This mask does not have a purge valve. Both of these masks are still available from Aqualung.
