Hi all! I'm new to the board and a newly certified OW diver. I'm excited to pursue this new activity/hobby and I'm honestly regretful that I didn't get certified years ago - wife and I did an introductory dive out in Maui some 10 years ago, loved it, and always planned to get trained but never got around to it until this past spring. Anyway, I'm glad I finally did it.

I've done a couple of murky reservoir dives here in Colorado and will do likewise at my property in Minnesota, so I don't forget how. Hopefully a warm/exotic dive holiday is on the cards this winter though.

The reservoir dives in Colorado are not the best. Some of the local dive shops will do get togethers and activities (treasure hunts, etc) at some of the reservoirs and quarry's. Either way it's more than tropical dive shorts diving.

Ahhh okay. Local-ish we have devils den, blue grotto, Ginnie springs, etc. (all in the high springs / Williston area. Local Local to me is Buford sink, Hudson Grotto, and weeki wachee. Buford is beautiful, see attached. 3rd pic is 2.5 mile's up weeki wachee river from Roger's park. Hudson grotto is like sweat tea and nasty eggs.

There are lots of divers in Colorado. Drysuits recommended but we do find our way to warmer waters as well.
