Is anyone going to the NASAR convention in Charolette, NC May 31 - Jun 2.
Some of the tentative PSD Water Track topics:
  • PSDA: Public Safety Diving Association
  • So You Wanna Start A Dive Team?
  • Swiftwater Vehicle Recovery
  • Writing SOPs for Dive Teams
  • NFPA Compliant Water Rescue Certification Programs
  • Dive Rescue International
  • Building a NIMS Compliant Team
  • Intro: Underwater Crime Scene Investigation and Forensics
  • Intro: Underwater Vehicle Recovery and Investigations
It looks like they are really trying hard to seperate the Water track into two parts; Swiftwater and Diving. I went to the NASAR '06 in Austin last year and they had both mixed together, so you had divers sitting in on swiftwater lectures with little or no interest and vice versa. Mark Phillips, author of PSDiver: A Textbook of Public Safety Diving will be speaking on at least two topics.

Jay,

Is there a website that details this activity. I would love to attend and it sounds like it could be a cool road trip. Any idea if there will be booths or displays by companies who sell gear. I always love to see stuff hands on. Let me know.

Thanks

Mark
