I was told by a co-worker that the water in north eastern Florida is murkey and not clear. I'm heading down to Jacksonville and would like to know what to expect water wise. Temp, usually vis, color. Thanks.

your best bet would be to call Atlantic Pro Divers (904-270-1747) or Jacksonville Scuba Center (904-223-1300).

they run charters and will have the day's reports.

As of 7/12/05 30' to50'vis was reported by several spearfishing buddies from 70' deep to 120'.No major thermocline so far.
