Wouldn't it be great if MapQuest could take a city or ZIP and a range and give a list of all the dive operations/sites.

That's what ScubaBoard is for. :crafty:

It seems that I'm reallynot familiar with that part of your state either! Wouldn't it be great if MapQuest could take a city or ZIP and a range and give a list of all the dive operations/sites.

LOL - I worked on a team for two years that designed a turn-by-turn navigation system for automotive radios. Really cool devise with a large colored display that would also talk to you.

I tried like heck to get them to include all harbors as a 'point of interest' just like restaurants or gas stations are. But, alas, it was a no go.

I do however have a friend that has programmed all the Michigan brew-pubs into his GPS unit. Very cool dive buddy!

Hey, while you're that close, a trip up to Chester is in order. They have a big bronze statue of Popeye there.

Mermet Springs is a nice place - went down for DUI days last year and had a blast. Very professional staff that seemed to be on the ball w/ their emergency plan... (Carefully watching the deep end for freeflow bubbles)

Glen (Mermet's owner) put in a railroad car, ambulance and, dig this, an underwater sound system in the last few months.

BTW, the Superman statue is cool, but the nearby Superman museum is pretty sad.
