We have two of them also. The newer ones have small holes in the top so you don't get an air bubble on top your head. I have an older one and just heated up a large nail & made my own holes. They really do stay on your head! They still show available at ScubaToys:

That's always been there. I have no idea why?

On which? I've never known of a weight attached to beanie, no any problems.
 
Interesting. I was originally looking for something like the scap a few years back but didn't find them. Ended up with a couple squid caps, which are basically neoprene baseball caps. Look like this, but I found a site that had them for much cheaper, just don't remember what the site was.
