Dear divers from all backgrounds!
We are pleased to announce our new dive center on the island of Cozumel! We are called "BLUE Project" and you can find all our information on our website. We are also excited to join the Scubaboard community of divers!
I would like to introduce you to a quick overview of the dive shop's philosophy:
Why "BLUE Project"?
Our choice of this name is not trivial. It originates from two personal and strong principles.
On one hand, we believe that for the diver, every dive trip is a project in itself. It must be conceived and carried out according to your desires. In this sense we believe that the service we offer is truly personalized. When you contact us or meet with us, we will discuss with you to find out what you want to get out of the trip. We will them strive to tailor your dive trips to your personal's interests.
On the other hand, the term "Project" refers directly to the environmental activities that the center performs throughout the year. We believe indeed that this fabulous treasure that extends into the crystal clear waters of Cozumel deserve not only our respect but more importantly our protection! Currently our contribution is modest, but in the future we want to work closely with the Marine Park of Cozumel in its various activities. We also hope to initiate and develop our own environmental activities.
Our approach is to also provide a valet service. Here some information that may be helpful:
Before - dreaming of diving
* All the necessary dive documentation will be sent to you before your arrival and returned to us so you do not need to deal with it when here.
* We will come and meet you, wherever you are staying, the night before you begin diving to discuss what kind of dives you are interested in and to pick up your dive equipment.
* We are particularly careful to group divers according to their skill level and capabilities to optimize your diving experience.
During - soaking and salty!!!
* We offer hotel pier pick up from most hotels south of town.
* We leave at 8:00 am, and return between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.
* We take a maximum of 6-8 divers per trip using fast and safe dive boats, fully equipped with oxygen, first-aid kit, cell phone and radio communication equipment.
* A certified divemaster is your guide at all times. Your safety and enjoyment are paramount.
* We offer dives at distant and advanced sites at no additional cost BUT only take divers with advanced certification and only after we have assessed the divers skills.
* We require dive computers on all dives allowing us to offer you to dive your (and your buddies) own profile.
* Filtered/purified water, juice, fresh fruit, snacks and towels are provided on board.
* Surface intervals last at least one hour, on full-service beaches.
* We prepare your equipment before and change your tanks between dives.
After - divers downtime
* We rinse and store your equipment for you (however, for reasons of hygiene, we ask that you take your wetsuit with you).
For our regular divers, we also offer the opportunity to keep your diving equipment on site. This will make life easier in the future when you travel to the island. No more additional charges for overweight bags! No more clutter of bags and suitcases! BLUE Project is responsible for safekeeping your equipment!
For additional information, please contact us! We will gladly answer your questions!
