Go Sport Gorilla fins available on eBay brand new and all colors

Fin porn ....

Rob, any chance you can/would ...
  • report size?
  • measure an accurate weight?
  • measure the OAL of the monoprene part (for packing purposes)?

Scuba Pro lists the weights on their website as
Go Sport - 2.54 lb and positive
Go Sport Gorilla - 3.63763 lb and Positive

On the GS-G page there is also a question re buoyancy:

Can you tell me if the GO-rilla Sport flippers are slightly positively buoyant like the GO and the GO Sport or did they go negative with the reformulation to a stiffer polymer? And when will we see them in white and yellow and blue and orange and purple?

No, the gorillas are the same buoyancy, just stiffer (higher Shore). This is true for both Seawing Nova and GO Sport Gorillas.

So either they are wrong, have different basic dimensions, are measuring grossly different sizes, or GS-Gs must be way less positive than GSs.

Haven't gotten the Go Sport Gorilla in the water yet. This is purely subjective but bending the fin feels around 25% stiffer and the bungees feel like they have about 50% more tension and are thicker. They appear to be the exact same dimensions. When I get them wet, I'll try a float test of each.

How much heavier are they than the standard version?

Edit to add, size Large ordered. For better or for worse. Hopefully I will soon have Gorillas in black. I will use them in Cozumel for November.

I want them in white...

Not orange or black. That's just too Oklahoma State.
