I don't know if it is still "open". If you've dived there, then you know that there isn't anyone on-site. The owners rely on instructors from the LDS's to proctor the site. The quarry is "open" when these instructors are there. I usually get out there when my LDS is teaching classes.

For a newbie diver, I can't say more about Brandon Quarry! It's small, but it has all of the cool things that Haige doesn't - a sunken bus, two ambulances, a small "cave". And vis is usually better 'cause you don't have the hoards of OW certs on the weekends. Unfortunately, there are no support services - no air station, no food.. and it's a shore entry.

Thanks for the quick reply! The phone number I'm afraid has been changed (according to the very kind person who now has that #). If anyone knows the status of Brandon (and phone #) please let me know.
