I have been diving with pony bottle, extra mask, and SMB for the last month so it would be comfortable. But this last weekend I offically took the SDI solo diver course. It was very informative and I am sure that it will help me better diver in the long run.

I'd welcome you to the club, except that'd seem rather non-solo of me. Um... so... oh, I've got it...

If you wouldn't mind, just make yourself at home! :D

Seriously, it *was* a nice course, wasn't it?

Yes, it was a nice course. Great to have several divers showing and explaining why they were diving their gear in that configuration. Since I have been diving my gear in the same configuration it was very natural to me. I was kind of surprised by how fast a tank with empty if something happend to a low pressure hose or rupture disk.
