New York woman dies on recreational diver in eastern Pennsylvania
BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania — Authorities say a woman from New York City died while on a recreational dive in eastern Pennsylvania.
The Lehigh County coroner's office said Wednesday that 41-year-old Lora Murphy of Brooklyn was found submerged and unresponsive just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dutch Springs.
She was pronounced dead a little more than an hour later at St. Luke's Hospital. The coroner's office said an autopsy was done Wednesday, but further forensic tests are needed to determine the cause and manner of death.
Dutch Springs, a 50-acre lake and water park in Lower Nazareth Township, has a number of underwater attractions for divers.
