Old Aladin Air frozen in logbook

Hi
Just tried to connect a previously functioning Aladin Air to a memomouse for logbook transfer to a PC.

Failed to transfer and now the computer is frozen, displaying "Logbook" and is unresponsive to any button combination or when connected to a cylinder.

Anyone seen this before?

Is worth trying a reset? I know a tech who does the battery replacement and might pay him to try?

Any other suggestions?

Has this particular combination of computer/memomouse worked for you before?

How good are its batteries? I have seen computers fail with batteries that appeared to have enough juice (80% or more). Some models need pretty full batteries for some activities.

Thanks for the info.

A bit googling threw up the reset method. A 3v watch battery wired between the 2 main terminals and it's all good.

The Aladin appears fine now, still can't get the transfer to work!
