Hello everyone I recently got OW certified at the young age of 59, one of my bucket list items, I have a little dive experience from my younger days just never got certified until my daughter decided that she wanted to experience diving, so we got certified together. I am glad to have found this site and all of the information that its members have provided. We will mainly be vacation divers in the Keys but plan to keep our skills honed in the local quarry. As far as gear I have always been a fan of buying used high quality versus new inexpensive gear. I am very mechanically inclined and would like to eventually be able to service my own gear, for now I am sending my Equipment to AirTech Scuba services in Raleigh NC. Any guidance you guys and gals can provide is greatly appreciated

Welcome. Have you been to the Keys yet? I tried Key Largo in 2013 and was quite happy there; would've been back if there weren't other places to try. And later on, further north, you might try the diving in Jupiter, FL - goliath grouper, sharks, good stuff!

Richard.
