I was thinking of replacing my sea and sea 8000g with an Olympus sp-510 ultra zoom. The 8000 just does't cut it. Any thoughts on the olympus?

The SP-350 (although dicontinued by Olympus now) is still available at Costco (for $199) and some other places for more. It is a great underwater camera and has all the features you could ask for including a hot shoe with TTL capabilities. The Olympus housing for it is also available. Honestly, you will never use that kind of zoom under water (or at least you shouldn't) and so the 3X zoom on the SP-350 is more than adequate IMHO.
