Hi phant.
I 've got the prices in Euro's. The Vytec will be deffenetly OK. But If you'd buy a Vytec I think after a year or two you'd find y'erself buying a VR3.
The Vytec is good for the initial Tek-diving, but as you gain expierience the dives y'll make will be beyond the possebilety's of the Vytec.
E.g. Trimix is no option for the Suunto. It 'll have 3 gaschange options in stead of ten! with the VR3. Not that you would use all of them, but you dont need to change the pecenteges each dive when you dive different mixtures.
The price of a Vytec 'll be about 1000 included a wireless gaugetransmitter. I think thats 985 USD.
The VR3 Trimix for open/semiclosed en closedsystem is 1495 .
The difference of 500 is deffenetly worth it.
When I started diving I bought a Suunto Favor Air. After 2 years I did my nitroxcourse and than saw that I'had better have bought a computer with Nitrox options. Witch I did, I bougth a Vyper.
When I saw the adds about the Vytec I thought it was great. But when I looked what other computers where availeble I imidietly desided to buy a VR3. And I'm happy with it.
I think it'll be the last computer you'll ever need.
Greets,
Imadiver
