Brian, this lil girl's butt is whipped from fighting with those crab today. The pic is from my haul on the first tank. But yeah, it was an awesome day for hunting crab - I've never gotten so many

Thanks for your kind words, but in all honesty, the photos aren't great. However, it was the best I could do given the poor viz and all the "snot" in the water. The most important thing, though, is we all had a great time and MissD had a great dinner last night!

Brian:

With 10 ft viz, you go back to the basics -- get low, get close (REALLY CLOSE), and shoot up! I was using a 60mm macro lens and shooting from < 1 foot away which helped quite a bit with minimizing the water column I had to shoot through. Definitely not a day to shoot wide angle!
Hey, you can't always get 100 foot viz. You have to take what you get and make the best of it.

Thanks to MissD, Scott5644, and GulfCoastdiver for showing me Spanish Rocks today.

The weather was gorgeous with warm sunny skies and dead flat seas. The viz wasn't so great for my attempts at photography (5-10 ft) but MissD got several pounds of stone crab claws.
