Do you replace the 2400 burst disk with a 5250? or just leave it alone with you cave fill them?

My 85s (and maybe my 50s) came with a 5300 (?) burst disk right from DGX.

Just picked up a 108 with a thermo. Didnt get to look the valve over well enough but front sticker says 2400.

Went to DGX but the 5250 burst disk is out of stock and ideas as where to pick some up?

legally you have to leave the stock burst discs in place since they must go around 90% of hydro pressure. In this case, 90% of hydro pressure is 3600psi and is the cold pressure of a cave fill, and often 4000psi/hydro pressure when warm. Many will end up replacing the burst discs with plugs.

If you need discs, Northeast Scuba Supply has them all

The plugs are what is done in Europe too correct? As they don't use burst disks.

The burst disk should have the psi number right on it. What does yours say?

Do dive shops in cave country temporarily replace the 5250 burst discs with the "legal" LP burst disks when they send tanks for hydro?

Hydro facilities don't care what valve or burst disc you have. The valves are removed.

Doh. I guess that was a dumb question. So when @tbone1004 said "they must go around 90% of hydro pressure" he meant that after hydro is performed (or really, whenever) the burst disc that is installed needs to be selected based on the hydro pressure?
