I was doing some research, looking at my record and found a link to this thread on the origin of the HPR.

It is kind of interesting that the work on the HPR took place over 4 years ago, and that work rolled over right onto the Argonaut.

Before the HPR, there was the work on the Pegasus, that rolled over directly into the HPR. The Pegasus was just a limited experiment based on converting the Voit Titan into a double hose regulator. It was similar to a Voit Trieste, but with a much improved second stage.

All this evolution started in 2005 when I designed what ended-up becoming the Phoenix first stage replacement.
