X-Tek the brand started out pre-Scubapro...There are a few T-shirts around from that launch...it morphed into S-Tek for a bit afterward. There are even a few Scubapro branded stainless steel plate packs around....now there are collectors items! =D

The "Transpac" softpack style was an original patent by Soniform that took advantage of bending the thermoplastic pack sheet in two dimensions to create rigidity. The system BC concept goes waaaaay back and there are a lot of patents on it, but the Sherwood Destiny series was a direct grampaw where a lot of the system BC concepts were ironed out by Soniform engineering.

A lot of good engineering went into that X-Tek gear. Glad you are still diving them!
