Reading the revived post below about BYOB on Jet Blue flights brought me to make this post.
Surely I cant be the only one who seems to have a hefty load of stress that develops before you take a trip. I don't drink alcohol any more so I cant fix it with a cold one, there was a time in my life where I would have tried.
Im less than two weeks from my next trip. I own two automotive shops and it seems the best way to overload them with work and problem cars is to have a vacation scheduled. And it seems to be right on course. I developed a nasty cold Friday its getting better so I am optomistic it will be gone long before the flight. One of my key employees is now sick the kind of sick thats been a month of testing and no idea whats wrong. He is so so and can work when he feels well enough. He figured out he was sick right after I booked my flights. My wifes work has three employees out sick and she is now coughing. Im dealing with it quite fine but am expecting a couple more issues to pop up as the date approaches.
My clocks normally wound pretty tight so Im used to it but it doesnt seem like taking vacations is any easier as I progress through life. Used to be the same as the above but we were stretching a dollar to make a trip work so financially its better, but im expecting to be fully engulfed in the what will go wrong next before I leave out of here. I did not get a vacation last year which is also a no no had a surgery that complicated that.
It seems the trips with the least pre trip stress i just book a flight somwhere when the shops are slow and everything is great and fly out within a couple of days. And when i semi retire in a few years I will do more of these but I wont have so many other things to be an issue then any way at least I hope not.
Tell me im not alone here.
