I've changed my profile pic and the old one still chows up on any post that i respond to. When I go to user CP it shows the new one I've uploaded. How do I get the new one to show up in my post?

This is commonly confused. The profile pic is what is displayed in your profile. The image displayed with your posts is your avatar, changeable here under Settings and Options in the User Control Panel.
