Site seems to be lacking alot of information about size and depth,
anyone dove there before?

The Brickyard Quarry is nestled in a 14-acre plot
near the south-central Illinois town of St. Elmo. The
rustic and remote setting adds to the "private dive area"
concept. The Quarry is set aside solely for
scuba diving and snorkeling.

Haven't dove the Brickyard, but I'm up for Mermet. When's the planned dive? early May?

14 acre plot is the land size it is nestled in, I was wondering about the water,
aquatic life, sites? We may have to check this one out. What do you say about

June is too late to get the 1st KOMO gathering... I am thinking about sometime in May... I think that the Mermet is a good idea for other members in MO and IL this time.

From what the bunch over at midwestdive board have to say about the Brickyard it is worth at least one dive. Timing is a must since the run off really clouds it up, just like most places.

Hey Chris,
You are the man !!!!Thanks for the help with my avatar, I think it looks great. Don't know about you guys but I'm ready to dive!!! The dive to Mermit would work great for me anytime in June, Memorial weekend may be tough for me. Maybe we could to two trips this year?? Any way Joe's will open before long....

Looks good, I just wish the one with the shadow effect would have worked.
I worked on it a little this morning and could not get the file size down.
We WILL work out this trip, one way or the other!
