Thanks everyone, TSandM i will deff look into that course for him. Right now im kinda intermitantly broke so my signal devices are just a storm whistle, but it had my ears ringing from blowing so hard and a 6ft orange and yellow tube.
With my friend that is the issue he just needs someone to step his ego down and make him feel "special" by looking out for other divers then i think he will be a little better as a buddy. I do think he is considering getting certified in the next few months since he doesnt dive our winter months and we had this close call, but am not positive
