Hello all,
I finished a 7 year career career in the Navy last October and decided to try and make a career out of Diving. I got certified in January and I currently have the privelage of being a student of Santa Barbara City College’s Marine Diving Technology Program. The fall semester starts up on the 21st and I’m glad to say that I will be diving every week through December for college credit and the GI Bill is paying for it all. This forum has been extremely helpful and entertaining. Thanks.

Thanks Akimbo. Thought you might like to know I purchased a pair of Kirby Morgan Superflow second stages and some of your old posts from 2014 actually came up when I was doing some research on them. I knew I recognized your name from somewhere.
New Kirby Morgan reg?

Well first off Thanks for your service!!

This forum is a wonderful place. I'm sure you will find it informative and even sometimes funny. Good luck with your diving career.

Regards,
Nick

Sweetness on the GI Bill for the Santa Barbara Diving Technology Program!!

Nice score on the regulators. Hope you get a chance to meet Bev Morgan while you're in Santa Barbara. He's a real legend and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. You might also look up @Oceanaut / Christopher Swann. His Hannes Keller's 1,000' Dive thread will really make you appreciate what you will learn there. Snag a copy of his book if you can. Also, check out the Purisima Diving Bell exhibit at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum.

Best of luck in your new adventure.

Well, you're a dirty squid, but you're here now, so welcome!:flagwaving:

I'm using my GI Bill on the recreational side; it is a nice benefit, for sure!
