Thanks ya'll. I think we have it narrowed to Cayman. I dove Turks and Caicos years ago and also Ambergreis Caye. Now we need to decide where to stay. Cheers

Good choice! Have you decided which Cayman Island you'd like to visit? See the link below for information about the 3 islands.

Have ever thought of doing a liveaboard trip? This would be a great time because the Aggressor just announced a 33% off discount, so both the T&C Aggressor and the Cayman Aggressor would be nice options.

A nice thing about a LOB is that you never have a problem with mosquitos - and you get to do a lot of really great diving!

Came up with another question, On Little Cayman and Brac it looks like there is allot of sea grass along the beach. Is that so? We do like to play and swim in the water as well.

Where do you want to stay?

There are sandy beaches and shaded hammoch but not good swimming beaches, at both the popular Cayman Brac Beach Resort and the Little Cayman Beach Resort (even though they are named "Beach Resorts"!) But snorkeling from shore is available at various sites on both islands and there are swimming beaches on both islands. You would need to rent a car for a day or two to enjoy them.

On Little Cayman some folks like to kayak to deserted Owens island to enjoy a picnic, a beautiful sandy beach, and snorkeling, see the link below.

Grace Bay Beach on Provo and Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman are two of the most beautiful sandy beaches that I have ever enjoyed, but there isn't much snorkeling from the beach and the best diving reefs are away from the beaches, also the beachfront properties are very developed. There is great snorkeling and diving from shore on Grand Cayman, just not near the beach IMO.

CBBR has a fabulous, huge infinity pool. I usually prefer to swim and splash in the ocean but I didn't miss it last year at CBBR because the pool is really special, see the short video below.

I would avoid the dive sites along 7 mile beach. Especially Devil's Grotto and Eden Rock and sites to either side. I found them devoid of fish and basically dead rock.
