Hi Shasta_man,

First of all, let me apologize if you felt our post was just some “infomercial post.” That was never our intention. We always set out to provide helpful information.

However, I’d like to disagree with your sentiment that this is “particularly negative for helping inexperienced travelers and divers.” The article in question begins with a lengthy overview of diving in Socorro in which we state that the diving there is quite challenging as many of the previous replies have mentioned. Also, we would never sell a liveaboard to a diver who isn’t experienced enough to handle the situation.

In addition, at Diviac, our policy is to be strictly neutral. We don't favor one boat or resort over another, and the opinions set out in the above article are carefully curated from our team of scuba diving experts. We strive to provide every diver with the best option for their needs. It’s as simple as that.

Our crew is available at all hours to answer any questions scuba divers may have, whether they book with us or not.

As always, happy diving!
