Hi guys,

Edi Frommenwiler, whom you may know as the skipper of the indonesian liveabaord Pindito, is proud owner of a Red One in a Deep Red Housing. Lately he gave us this remarkable collection of footage that he made during the last months. Apart from its technical aspects, this truely belongs to some of the best coral reef footage that I have seen at all. Wonderful videography!

Here is the (of course) downsized, but still stunning video:

Hope you enjoy,

Absolutely stunning! The macro work was amazing. Thanks for sharing that!

Very nice video. Do you know what lens he was using for the macro shots?

Absolutely stunning macros - my favorite must have been close ups of the sea horses.
Great color, amazing quality.
Also, on the 'bigger' takes( i.e. mantas), I have noticed some distortion. Was it because of compression?

@Mike: Edi just wrote that he used a 105 Nikon lens.
@Tomek: Yes, to keep that video "accessible" for most viewers we have chosen a medium kbps figure when compressing the video. But you are right, the quality in some sections could be better. Especially footage of small schooling fish moving fast is always a problem for internet uw-videos, though.
