OK, it looks like I will take matters into my own hands and post a thread.

Chris, working on getting the "scooter" together. I am going to order the monitor and cables tonight. :D

Hope you can work out those details, I did some price checking on monitors,
OUCH 1,100 to 1,600 bills!!! You need to check on patents if you can manage
a workable system.

I will assume that you are looking at external monitors. The one ordered was an internal for $177.90 shipped. BTW, the LANC switch that you found in GB, I could get, shipped, for around $55 and have it within a week. I think I will stick with the opto or solid state relay.
I am hoping for rain on either Thursday or Friday of next week so I can go to the local electronics supply house and see what I can get. If all else fails I will order online.
Called about the cables today and they are out of stock. The guy must have been in a hurry to go home and told me to call back tomorrow and they could tell me when they would be in stock. God Bless Sony for using an odd ball connector.

Off to check the other posts and catch up on the newest poop.

Yepper, I was looking at externals, that's why I said if you work this out check on
patents! This should be one heck of a video "scooter" when your done! I'm looking
forward to seeing a finished product. I suspect it will be in a D.I.Y. thread this summer!

Grettings from the home of Superman. We all made it in safe last night.
Went into town and had a good meal, dropped some cash off at the
local casino. I think we still have enough left to dive today! Looks
like excellent weather for diving! Wish you were here!!!

I still have you snowed don't I?

No way, I'm looking foward to an underwater scooter with an encased sony video
cam with monitor, connected to a 100' cable that plugs into a cassette recorder
for it's power supply. Should I expect anything less from you???

We had a great day today at Mermet, the UW sound system sounds great!

LOL...can I plug it into your new cigarette lighter in the scuba van? :D Thought about doing this solar but then I couldn't dive in the rain or on a cloudy day.

Glad to see that you guys had fun at Mermet. Have they sunk the sub yet? I hope that you paid homage to the All Might Catfish. Big Blue will not accept less!!

Sure, go solar! You can charge that marine battery for hours of cloudy day use.

We didn't hear or see anything about the sub, it did not stop us from having a
GREAT time. We saw plenty of white cats, but no spoonbill, maybe next time.

The new outlet in the van worked flawlessly until we got into Metropolis, seems there
is some kryptonite or something down there that interferes with cell phones and gps
systems, never seen anything like it. One minute the cell tower would show full bars
then go to NO service available, same with the gps, good thing I remembered the
route to Mermet, NO satellites available! On the way out of Metropolis the gps worked
perfectly! We planned on making the trip again for the next DUI dry suit day!

So you have finally seen the light and want to go dry? If not DUI days aren't the best time to go.

I would say that the spoons are still deep. I know the two times that I have been there they have been out in full force and there was no problem seeing them towards the deep dock area.

Sent you an email with the latest part for the "scooter".
