Ron and Val were the inspiration for Discovery Channel's Shark Week. He will be missed by many who learned about these magnificent predators through Ron's films.

Just heard a terrible loss my heart goes out to Val and his family. I met them on the Gold Coast many years ago, he was a huge inspiration to so many Australian divers and many others around the world. He was such a generous man with his time a true gentleman he will be sorely missed.
