Royal Scuba has moved to Central Austin

4403 Guadalupe Street in Austin has been a dive shop destination for over 20 years; many of you remember scuba pioneers, The Great Outdoors, and recently, Austin Aqua Sports. Continuing with the tradition of there being a dive shop located in central Austin, Royal Scuba is leaving its former Hwy183/North Lamar location and moving to the Austin Hyde Park area by acquiring 4403 Guadalupe Street.

Royal Scuba is excited about the opportunity to resurrect the old lady out of its 10-month slumber, plus Royal Scuba remedies its concern of an education pool. Yes, not only is 4403 Guadalupe a significant retail upgrade from our humble beginnings, there’s the pool that is made for scuba diving. It’s commonly known as the optimal scuba shop pool in Central Texas with respect to education, 640 sq ft at 12-feet deep plus an additional 200 sq ft at 3-to-4 feet deep.

Royal Scuba always has looked forward to bolstering its relationship with all scuba divers, experienced and newbies, alike—now Royal Scuba has improved its ability to bring scuba to Austin with the lowest of prices, continually innovative services, and a progressive model to retail and education. Royal Scuba looks forward to your calls, emails, and visits about our product lines and services.

Royal Scuba facts: Our in-store (and web) prices are equal or better than the big, nationwide online scuba stores, but there’s something else you should know: we’re just your good ole local dive shop in the heart of central Austin. Our full product webstore will be launching this Fall!

Remember, a great discount retail shop all starts with excellent education and top-notch service, let RoyalScuba.com help unlock the awaiting underwater treasures that are a mere fingertip away.

Happy Diving and more details to be posted soon,

JessH,

not sure if we've met?

We spent countless hours over last week putting a pretty face on the old bldg.

Yesterday (last day of the month), Sept 30, was the last day at the old location, so we just emptied out the old location and everything is still in boxes.

All the grid needs to be re-mounted on the walls and a lot of the mobile shelving needs to be modified to the new location. I'm predicting the brick-n-mortar part of the shop will be down for approx 7 to 10 days as we re-collect, re-energize, and re-stock the new digs.

As for the phone sales part of the store, it will be down on Thursday and possibly Friday for a new system install.

The online sales / website is still processing orders, and we are easily filling & shipping boxes as needed.

As far as education classes, that hasn't stopped . . . we were teaching a class earlier today, and Jamie's taking a class to the lake late afternoon today.

JessH, looking forward to working with you in the near future.
