Hello Everyone,

It looks like I may be headed to SD for a conference in late July or early August.

I would love to take a day or two after the conference and try some wreck diving. How are typical dive conditions that time of year?

Thanks

Steve

The water tends to 'green up' in the summer because of the algae but not too bad some years and really bad others. Water temps on the Yukon over the last three years in late July to early August show an average (according to my logs) of about 55 degrees at depth. The upside is the seas are generally less agressive in the summer months.

I was afaid of that. It is the same up in the Puget Sound. The best diving is when it is least pleasant to be out on the water.
