While there are no restrictions on performing air-sharing as part of the SDI Wreck Diver penetration course, it really is an unnecessary skill, due to the limited penetration allowed for this course. According to the SDI Wreck Diver Course Standards, if penetration is conducted it is intended to be a swim through of short length and the penetration should never out of the light zone.
 
Thanks, Dennis. Whilst I agree - there is a huge gap between the dives conducted at the SDI Wreck course and the TDI Advanced Wreck course. At the moment, I teach a specialty that sits in that gap through another agency, that's the one things that is currently stopping my dropping my membership with that agency and crossing over to SDI (I am already a TDI instructor).
