are you sure it was real? i know lots of restaurants claiming to be serving shark fin soup, but it's usually fake. Real shark fin is costly to come by...

Well Vegas is where the money and high rollers go especially Asian businessmen and entrepenuers. Shark Fin soup was the delicacy of the Emperor, but now it the ultimate status symbol. So of course Vegas is all about money and the soup is a status symbol of wealth. You will find shark cartilage in alot of medicines though, especially Chondroiton that is used for rebuliding joints. Read the labels and refuse to by the products that have shark cartilage in it. We all can make a choice, and if we can turn people off to the companies that support the sale of such items, the power of the buck is mightier than the sword!

Keep up the fight!
Save the SHARKS!

Happy protecting my beautiful sharks!

Is this illegal? If not, then they are not the ones to be emailing.

Exactly...If congress is sent concerns then at least we could cause them big headaches...

E-mail sent. I also write to producers of "health food" shark cartilage pills, too.

Sorry to say it's not just Palazzo. Here's a list for DocVikingo on Scubadiving.com where I also tried to get an email campaign going. So now what?

The Venetian is also owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corp. The organizations I've heard back from will be writing to the corporate office, so hopefully that will take care of those two. We will have to begin separate campaigns for the others...
