I stopped in there for my Nitrox stuff, and the owner went out of his way to make sure he got me the gear I was looking for. Going back tommorrow with the wife to talk to him, heard a rumor he is to start offering dive charters and such.

The only 'drawback' to his shop is that its pretty much an Aqualung for the most part. On the bright side for me he is a Suunto dealer so I no longer really have to head down to St. Augie for Suunto service/parts etc.

That would be good news. Please ask him about it. I'm not a big fan of either of the two options currently available. Jacksonville Scuba Center was a great place with friendly people, but they closed up well over a year ago.

Sorry to say my dive has been postponed. But when we do finally go, I'll post a report.

I also have been impressed with First Coast Divers, they seem to be in business for the right reasons.

I've also had good experiences with Scuba Tiger in Orange Park (even further from the beach).
