Hi all,

Hoping to dive at Racha Yai/Racha Noi in a couple of weeks time and was wondering what the sea temperatures are this time of year. I am used to diving in the Red Sea here in Jeddah which is currently 32c and not sure what wetsuits to take.

Thanks,
Jason

3 mm should be fine, I would prefer a full suit. The seas temperature is year round 29 degrees centigrade at Racha Islands, Bungalow Bay (no diving there this time of year) though tends to be 1-2 degrees less warm.

I'd consider a 3mm with an extra 1mm vest. Vests are excellent IMO for travelling and I recommend them to anyone who gets a bit chilled while diving. Of course you have to get past the outrageous price tag that most retailers put on them, but some good deals can be found online.

I normally dive with just the vest BTW in 29C.
