Does anyone know the model camera used in the sealife DC600? A friend just flooded hers and I wanted to see if she could just get the camera at Walmart or wherever and update the firmware online.

Contact Sealife, they have really good customer service. The battery hatch broke on my DC300, they said they would sell me a new camera for $100. But it don't matter, when it is in the housing, the hatch is held closed. One of the Mods here who is famous for his u/w shots of logs, had his replaced by Sealife I believe at no charge.

I just got my DC500 replaced with a Vivitar 5340s.(works like a charm) The Dc600 doesn't have the same size or button arrangement so that is no help. The camera is manufactored by Richo if I am not mistaken.....
The replacement from Sealife was over $300 for the 500 I got the vivitar for $122 from ebay.
