You know, I don't actually know if it had been dropped prior. I'm kind of assuming not, though. The camera had worked absolutely fine, at any rate, until the 30cm drop. When I received the camera in the post and inspected it, it was honestly in brand new camera condition. There were no nicks or scratches or rub marks (now you can see where the camera fell), and as the camera has a rubber outside, these would be easy to detect I think.
Now when you shake the camera you can hear a rattling. It's not the metal loop that you can put a lanyard through, as I held that tight and repeated my shaking test to hear the same rattling. Not that I go around shaking my camera or anything (that's just weird), but this wasn't present before.
